Yes people, i am still alive. finally felt the urge to update.

things are pretty much the same for me. i'm still jobless. not that i havent got any replies from any company, but i just felt lazy to apply for anything. thanks to my experiences of working for several companies; which suck.

i quit my last job. for the 3rd time. yeay.me being picky? well, just to cut things short, when i resigned, 3 others joined me. really explains a lot bout that company rite? and i think my former colleague is sending his resignation letter this week. har har har.

so finally, today i felt the urge of applying for jobs. again. well, it just so happens that my girl, and her brother got a job. congratulations.and i'm still... well. *shrugs* but so far, no of jobs applied for = 1. yeay.

so, what i've been doing recently? apparently nothing at all. well, almost. had a few jobs here and there just to being less of a leech to my parents.

and every now and then, i tinker my camera around. still trying to figure how to take pictures properly, mainly surfing flickr, google up stuffs, and getting ideas on how to get people pose for their picture.  come to think of it, its already 2 years since i bought that camera. well, there are compliments bout my pictures, but as we know, compliments'll retard the growth of expansion of knowledge. so, i just say thanks to those who gave me, but i still think i suck.

off camera flash is my fun-thing-to-do-at-the-moment now. gotta get those wireless RF trigger someday.

i was thinking of making an online portfolio, but i lack the wisdom and knowledge of using html/xml/whatever-the-jargon-language is.

put that as another 'things i need to learn how to do' list.

i was thinking of going full-time photographer. but current economic crap, i dont think that's the most viable option for the time being. so i have to put that plan on hold. maybe get a job, acquire capital. and we work things from there when the so called 'economy stabilize'.

crap.

sometimes, i just feel envious to those people who have a job. yes, a job that actually pays regularly on a monthly basis. of course i'm envious, as i dun have a job at the moment. but those who are employed would seriously agree when i say, 'a perfect job is a fairy tale.'

i've been searching (and waiting) high and low for 'that' job, but i think its about time to just give it up.

actually, i gave up quite sometime ago. as what others have advised me, lower your expectations. and i did. i think the others should advised the employers to do the same. crap.

the reason is, i'm currently on the verge of either refuse a job which requires me to be outstation for 5 months straight. which is... a bit to much for me. well, i dont mind being outstation, but at least i have these small intervals where i can go back home, kick back and relax. (or perhaps do the photography which i really love). but that wont happen if i take this job lah.

its like being sailing on a ship, except this is on land.

its either i suck it up, and take whatever is thrown on me, or just back off.

crap. this is hard.

let me list out the pros and cons.

pros.
- away from home (which means the nagging, the being yelled at)
- go to new places
- SALARY
- experience

cons.
- away from home (the comfort of my own room)
- new places which is seriously away from civilization (sort of)
- ditch my photography (the last thing i'm passionate about)
- away from her
- away from her
-away from... you know what.

see. if i take the job, i have to stand 5 months away. if i dont, then i dont know when on earth i'm gonna get a job that PAYS. dilemma?

crap.

i think i might turn down the job if i could get at least 4 photography jobs in a month. i might even consider fulltime photography.

Currently Listening To - ENVY - Scene


the final post for the year.

last weekend was Jaha & Aini's engagement ceremony over @ tanjung malim. i went there with azrul as i was the designated photographer for the ceremony lah. everything went well, the only trouble we had was locating Aini's house there. a bit lost lah, but we found the house in the end.

the weather was nice, all blue skies, but towards the evening it became tad bit gloomy. mission accomplished. the only thing now is for post-processing the pictures and submit it to them in 1-2 weeks time lah. hopefully.



so, congratulations Jaha & Aini!!! Nnt nak kawen, panggil lah aku jadi photographer yer? =D

after tanjung malim, both me & azrul initially wanted to stay over somewhere in Ipoh, cause we had to attend azrul's friend's wedding reception there. so, being clueless where to stay over in ipoh or even know what's in ipoh, we called up Tajul, and he invited us to stay over at his kampung in Kuala Kangsar.

woooh. kuala kangsar? never been there in my life. it was great lah. a very kampung experience for a town boy like me. (my kampung is a town or as what they say, concrete jungle, so i rarely get that experience lah)

se-bandar2 aku lah kan, bole jugak dok kat kampung. hebat kan? hahahaha. it was peaceful, and frickin' cold. seriously, you dont need air-cond/electric fan to sleep. boy how i wish KL was more like that. but pollution and all. haish.

so, both of us stayed over at Kampung.. err.. i kinda forgot the name lah, with Tajul and his brother. we ended up chatting till wee in the morning, until i finally surrendered to the mattress and pillows lah. hahahahah.

the next day after a heart breakfast (at lunch time), we headed out for ipoh. on the way there, we stopped by some cement factory by the road. it was frickin huge. well, somewhere near my house there's also a cement factory, but this was like upclose man. sakai kejap tengok. hahahahah.


then it was ipoh, got lost for a while (none of us know the way around in ipoh). but we manage to find the place. It was Baizura's wedding reception; a friend of both Azrul and tajul.


congratulations Baizura! semoga bahagia ke anak cucu!

after the ceremony, we thought of going to ipoh town, we wanted to look for Happy Chicken King (malaysia's version of KFC), but to no avail, neither of us know where it was, nor the people we tried to ask for directions lah. hahahaha. so, pakai redah sahaja, just go around looking for a cool spot to take pictures. and we found one.

a abandoned shop lot somewhere in ipoh town lah. we had fun there lah taking pictures. siap baring, golek, lompat, duduk, cangkung, pegang boom payung. hahahahah. well, i'll upload the pictures later lah.


and guess what, on the way back, i actually stumbled upon the 'real' oldtown white coffee ipoh shop. seriously. pity i didnt get the picture of the place, as i was to excited jumping in the car when i saw it. (it was another side quest of mine; look for the original oldtown)

so yeap. back from the north.

a year has pass. usually this time around, people will look back in that 366 days, and ask what were their accomplishment. well i can say this

in 2008,

• i graduated (finally!)
  
• i moved back to my home
• i went for my first interview
• i quit my first job,
• i quit my second job
• i had an anniversary relationship
• i've reached the quart-century life span
• i manage to get pass my quart-life crisis
• i missed campus life
• i met new friends
• i became better at photography
• i love my family more
• i love her more
• i love my friends more
• i love my life more.

so, is that enough? i think so.

my new year's resolution? will always be the same. it is still 1280 X 800. har har har.

well, i think this year, i want to be different. change my laptop? hahahaha. no lah. just a few resolutions;

• i want to work my ass out
• i want to be a better son
• i want to be a better brother
• i want to be a better lover
• i want to be a better friend
• i want to... get engaged.

so how bout that? 2009. think i can manage? hopefully, with His blessing. and my parents' too.

so, goodbye 2008. and we're getting closer to Him where we came from. erk.
